The Big Music From Small Nations Festival takes place next weekend at Cilycym, Llandovery with lots of local musicians on the bill. This is a lovely, small festival well worth visiting.

American soul and blues legend Lisa Mills returns to Tenby on Thursday 17th July. Tickets, priced at only £5 are available from the De Valence box office.

The Crook Family of Haverfordwest , who recently released one of the finest albums ever to come out of Pembrokeshire,  were invited to open for Jethro Tull at St Davids Hall, Cardiff last month. There's an exciting 3 day folk festival planned for the lovely seaside town of Tenby over the August Bank Holiday. Headliners include Cerys Matthews, Eliza Carthy, Nick Harper, Martyn Joseph and The Storys. The best of local talent will be featured with The Crook Family leading the way. Celtic Blue Rock Festival seeks demos and biogs from Welsh artists who want to appear at this year's festival. All genres. Check out www.celticbluerock.org.uk for full details. Baby Blue Rock also has a poster competition on their site - you can win tickets and bags of goodies.

Tenby Blues Festival takes place 14th-16th November 2008 - check out www.tenbyblues.co.uk or wwww.myspace.com/thetenbybluesfestival. Headliners booked so far include Sherman Roberston and Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges.

Next gigs for Tenby Blues Festival feature American soul/blues star Lisa Mills (supported by Cottonmouth) on July 17th  and the legendary Dr Feelgood (supported by J44, a hit at the 2007 festival) on September 26th, both gigs are at the De Valence, Tenby.
