Participatory arts project for women

Ran by arts care gofal celf this health & wellbeing project offers weekly 2hr sessions of participatory movement & arts workshops for women of all ages to engage in. the project also offers a crèche for any preschool children to attend whilst mums have me time. acgc offer drop in costs at £3:50 per adult & £1:50 per child. new members always welcome. why not come along & meet other ladies & have the opportunity throughout the year to explore a variety of professionally led arts workshops including belly dance, visual arts, music making, drumming, contemporary dance & much more.

Pembroke Neighbourhood Policing Community Surgery

Pembroke Neighbourhood Policing Team will be introducing a new community surgery, to be held at Pembroke Town Hall, every first Friday of the month between 10:30am-11:30am.

The first one will be taking place on Friday 5th February. This will be a good chance to speak with your local Neighbourhood Policing Team, and bring up any queries, issues or problems that you may have within your local area of Pembroke and Pembroke rural areas.

Curry & Music Night - Maenclochog

Music, movement and magic! Milford Haven

An event the weather can't spoil! the inner wheel club of milford haven is organising an afternoon of music, movement and magic featuring milford haven gymnastics club, milford haven junior band and a professional magician. taking place at the pill social centre in milford haven 2-4.30. tickets are £3 for adults and children are free although they must be accompanied by an adult. there will be a children's raffle including amazing prizes and proceeds will go to the milford haven gymnastics club and local charities. tickets are available from liz corey 01646 693538 or lynda brown 01646 694261

Narberth a cappella voice festival

Wales' only a cappella festival, presented by span arts, makes a return for its 8th year from thursday 18 to sunday 21 february, celebrating the diversity of singing without instruments. featuring the magnificent south african zulu male choir on friday 19 february, and multi-award winning british group the sons of pitches - as seen on tv - on saturday 20th.

thursday 18 february will feature côr pawb, joining over 200 participants from community choirs in a brand new performance at folly farm. ending the festival is one of wales’ premier mixed choirs, côrdydd, performing at the sunday lunch time concert in st andrews church, narberth, on sunday 21st.

workshops will also be on offer throughout the weekend, with artists including the sons of pitches, south african zulu male choir, zulu male choir, michael deason-barrow, ffynonn, and camilo menjura. saturday afternoon will also include the big sing, a free pop-up choir inviting workshop members and locals to sing from scratch!

Prendergast church, haverfordwest will be holding a silent auction with cheese and wine evening in prendergast church hall on friday 19th february. doors will be open from 7.00 pm with bidding from 7.15 - 8.30pm. tickets £5 per person, available from church or on the door, to include a glass of wine, or soft drink and cheese and biscuits. the lots already received include vouchers for restaurants and businesses and local attractions including folly farm, national botanic garden of wales and lots more. all welcome.

Launch of martha morgan country - Newport

Llys y fran speed hillclimb
Sunday 8th of May '16
Llys y fran speed hillclimb is organised by swansea motor club and is a round of the welsh sprint and hillclimb championship and numerous other one make and regional championships. cars tackle the hill one at a time, with at least two practice runs taking place in the morning followed by two race runs in the afternoon. if time permits a top ten run-off may also take place with the ten fastest cars getting another run for a separate prize.

all types of car participate in the event, from standard road cars to purpose built hillclimb cars, rally cars and single seaters.

an excellent viewing area overlooks the hairpin where a lot of action takes place or spectators can view the fastest part of the course known as monaco straight. a closer view of the competing cars can be had at the paddock.

llys y fran has a restaurant where food and drink are available all day.

admission to the event is £5 per adult, paid at the gate on the day, with accompanied under 16's free.
